Every gate VB Fences hangs gets the same frame, hardware, and post depth, whether it is a 4-foot walk gate or a 12-foot double drive.
Double drive gates
Two leaves that open 10 to 12 feet for a truck, trailer, or boat. Drop rods hold the fixed leaf, a center latch holds the pair. From $1,143 installed.
Aluminum and pool gates
Self-closing, self-latching gates on Ultra Aluminum pool fence, with the latch at the height the code requires. Two-rail and three-rail aluminum drive gates for driveways.
Arbor and feature gates
Lattice-top and arched arbor gates, cedar gates with cap and trim, and the gate a pergola frames. Built on site to the fence they sit in.
Why ours don't sag
The frame cannot rack.

Every wood gate is framed on a steel corner kit, so the frame stays square instead of dropping at the latch side.

Hinge posts 27 inches deep, in concrete
The post that carries the gate goes in full depth and is never cut, so the hinge side does not lean out of plumb.

Gates are priced with the fence when they go in together, and on their own when you are adding one to a fence that is already standing.
Gate repair
Sagging, dragging, won't latch.
Most gate repairs are finished the same visit as the estimate: re-hung on heavy-duty hinges, squared on a steel corner kit, latch realigned. When the hinge post itself has gone, we reset it in concrete. Storm damage and whole sections are on the fence repair page.
Commercial gates
Swing and slide gates with access control.

How much does gate installation cost in Virginia Beach?

How wide should a driveway gate be?
Ten to twelve feet of clear opening for a truck or a trailer. A double drive gate splits that into two leaves, so each one stays light enough to swing true. We measure what has to pass through it, not just the driveway.
Do you fix sagging gates?
Yes, and most are done the same visit as the estimate: re-hung on heavy-duty hinges, squared on a steel corner kit, latch realigned.
Do pool gates have to self-close?
Yes. Pool barrier gates are self-closing and self-latching, with the latch at the height the code requires, and the pool barrier itself takes a building permit in every Hampton Roads city. See pool fencing.

Yes. We match the material and height, set a new hinge post if the existing one will not carry a gate, and price it on its own.
